This position is located in our Levittown, NY facility.
We are currently accepting applications for a Physical Education Teacher.
The Physical Education Teacher works with children across all programs to provide physical activity to develop motor skills and physical development.
Provide physical and health education for each k-2 student that reflects the children's IEP or IFSP goals.
Required Education and
Experience:
1.
Must have a master's degree; and a NYS Physical Education Certification with a minimum of 12 semester hours of teacher preparation in Adapted Physical Education.
Prefer a minimum of 1-3 years' experience.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically, 35 hours per week.
Work Schedule is typically 8:
00am-3:
30pm with hour provided for lunch (unpaid time).
The school operates 12 months out of the year.
This role may be physically demanding.
The employee is required to be non-sedentary.
Must be able to stand; run, walk; sit; bend, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; The employee must be able to lift an average pre-school age child (35 pounds) and school age child (50 pounds).
